Checklist

How to prepare for a video consultation with a clinic — a 10-point checklist

Twenty minutes of preparation makes the difference between a sales call and a real medical consultation. Use this list.

Your case, ready to share

1. Write your medical history in five lines: conditions, medications, allergies, previous surgeries, smoking. 2. Collect photos or scans the clinic asked for, taken in daylight, from the angles they specified. 3. List the medications and supplements you take, with doses.

4. Write your goal in one sentence. 'I want a natural hairline that suits me at 50' gives the clinician far more than 'I want it fixed.'

Your questions, written down

5. Prepare your top five questions and put the scariest one first — complication rates, revision policy, who actually operates. 6. Decide what number you need: total price including hotel and transfers, not the headline figure.

7. If English is not comfortable for you, arrange a translator or ask whether the clinic provides one. You are entitled to understand every word.

Your setup

8. Join from a quiet room with your face lit from the front, not behind. 9. Charge the device and use headphones — echo wastes minutes. 10. Join five minutes early; the lobby lets you check your camera and microphone before the clinician arrives.
